Transition Exeter

Transition Exeter is made up of people living in or near Exeter, joined by a desire to take positive action in the face of the twin challenges of climate change and peak oil.

We come from all walks of life.  We are all volunteers, giving as little or as much of our time as we want.  The simplest way to find out what we're doing and what might be of interest to you is to sign up for our regular email updates.

We have no statutory basis, and we are not a charity.  Nor do we have any formal links to Exeter City or Devon County Councils, or any other statutory bodies.  This gives us complete freedom and flexibility.

Our values

We strive to work in an open and inclusive way, with honesty and transparency. Everyone is welcome to get involved regardless of background, politics, faith, race, age, class or gender.

As individuals, communities, organisations and as a society, we will act to live in the present, without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs.

We aim for a healthier, happier and more empowered community, whilst maintaining resilience in a changing world and minimising our negative impacts further afield.
