A special 10-Mile Community Feast is being held in Belmont Park, Exeter, on 1st July 2017 as part of Newtown Community Association’s 30 year Anniversary celebrations.
The feast has been created by Transition Exeter and supported by Exeter Pound and Love Local Food. The feast is inspired by the ’10 Mile Dinners’ initiative which Transition Exeter members organise when they get together socially for shared meals made from ingredients sourced within a 10 mile radius of Exeter.
People are encouraged to bring their own picnic and to bring a dish to share for the community feast using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. You can also enter your dish in the competition!
- Prizes for best savoury, sweet, vegan & international dishes
- Special category for dishes made by under 14s
- Judging by Lucy and Jim Fisher of the Exeter Cookery School, Sandhya Dave, Cultural Champion and Cath Sleigh of Rabbit cafe.
